2-Day Workshop on Machine Reliability & Condition Monitoring

SINGAPORE

27 & 28 March 2008

24 & 25 July 2008

9.00am - 6.00pm

Organized by VIBRO Technologies & Engineering Pte Ltd

(The Lubricants & Vibration Specialist)

Course Fee

Public : S$980.00 per participant

Course Coordinator : Ms Helen Kiew

Workshop Objectives

This workshop introduces to participants the basic theory subjects and practical training on actual site causes and equipment usage -

    Maintenance Methods

      1. Breakdown Maintenance
      2. Preventive Maintenance
      3. Predictive Maintenance

Workshop Topic

Module 1 Vibration and used of measuring instrument

What is vibration, types of tool used for spectrum, trend analysis, bearing condition check, analyzing

vibration trends, spectrums interpretation, bearing condition failing pattern and more. The subjects

"Vibration" is made more understandable through the use of dozens of animations to illustrate the

subjects. Most importantly, the focus is kept on how the theory is used in a practical sense.

Module 2 Lubrication & Lube Systems

What is grease, types of thickners lithium, calcium, synthetic for grease additives, base oil. What

governs grease properties, consistency (NLGI), grease selection factors, greasing intervals and

    application methods

(**Bearing failure analysis - Load path pattern, premature bearing failures & lubrication failure)

Application methods types of lubrication systems, their usage and how to apply different type and

    operation of system.

Module 3 Laser Shaft Alignment

An introduction to laser shaft alignment. Poor aligned shaft are responsible for many rotating

machineries and equipment failure. Tests have shown that poor alignment is the cost of 50% of the

machines breakdown. Poor alignment or misalignment is the name given when the two centre lines of

shafts does not run in the same axis.

Module 4 Interactive Case Solving

Short Test 20 Questions

Who Should Attend

Plant Manager/Supervisor, Maintenance Manager/Supervisor or Maintenance Engineer/Staff who involve in direct maintenance, troubleshooting of rotating machinery and want to enhance knowledge in best maintenance program and continous improvement.
